Add B-roll or a picture over your clip
EDIT A CLIP FROM FIRST CUT TO DOWNLOAD · PART 7 OF 8 · UPDATED 17 OCTOBER 2026
Place stock footage or a picture and choose how it sits.
The Editor works on a laptop or desktop.
Steps
-
Select B-roll to open the B-roll tools.

-
Select Add next to Gameplay to cut stock footage over your pauses.

-
Select Clip settings to open the settings of the B-roll.

-
Select Small box under Placement to show the B-roll as a box over your clip.

-
Drag the Size slider to the left to make the box smaller.

If something goes wrong
- Hiding B-roll hides only its picture. Its sound still plays; select Sound on to turn the sound off.
- If nothing is added, the clip may be too short to cut B-roll into without covering its opening or ending.
- Select Full screen under Placement to make the B-roll fill the frame again.
