Privacy Policy

Last updated 17 October 2026

ReelFyre turns your long videos into short vertical clips and, when you ask it to, publishes them to your own YouTube channel, Instagram professional account or Facebook Page. Optional Instagram analytics shows how your account and posts are doing. New Meta features are currently limited to invited pilot accounts. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to get it deleted.

Who we are

ReelFyre is operated by SandMatter LLP ("ReelFyre", "we", "us"), India. For any privacy question or request, contact hello@sandmatter.com.

YouTube API Services

ReelFyre uses YouTube API Services to provide its features. In addition to this Privacy Policy, Google's Privacy Policy applies and is available at http://www.google.com/policies/privacy.

By using ReelFyre to connect a channel or post a video, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

ReelFyre's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Instagram and Meta

ReelFyre uses Meta's official APIs for Instagram publishing, optional Instagram analytics and Facebook Page Reels. Posting access alone does not enable analytics. Each optional feature has its own access notice and agreement step. Meta's Privacy Policy applies to your use of Instagram itself.

What we collect

Your early-access request

If you request an invitation on our website, we store your name, email, optional channel or content link, optional description of what you want to create, and your consent to be contacted about the request. We use this information to review your request and contact you about early access. A notification containing these details is sent to our team inbox through our email provider when email delivery is configured. Requesting access does not create an account or automatically grant an invitation.

Your account

When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and Google account identifier. We use these to identify your account, contact you about the service, and bill you.

If your early-access application is approved, we create your account and email a temporary password that expires seven days after issue. Set your own password in the app before it expires. We store password hashes, not readable login passwords. A temporary password or recovery link queued for email is encrypted and cleared after sending, expiry or password change. Password recovery uses a one-time, time-limited link. We also record review decisions and delivery status to manage applications and access securely.

Your videos and clips

YouTube video imports are paused in this release. We accept video files you supply and do not acquire new YouTube video, audio or caption files through our download agent or personal helper. Existing projects are not automatically deleted by this pause. YouTube channel connection and publishing remain separate features; connecting a channel does not grant video-download permission.

We store the video files you upload to ReelFyre, the clips we generate from them, transcripts, and the settings you choose (captions, branding, formats). This is the content the product exists to work on.

When you import from Google Drive or Dropbox

You can bring in a file from Google Drive or Dropbox instead of choosing one on your device. You pick the file in Google's or Dropbox's own window and grant access there. For Google Drive we ask only for the narrowest permission Google offers (drive.file), which covers the files you pick and nothing else in your Drive; Dropbox gives us a temporary link to the one file you pick.

We treat that file exactly like one you upload from your device. We only read the file you pick: we never see your Google or Dropbox password, we don't store the access Google or Dropbox grants for the import, we can't see your other files, and we never change or delete anything in your Drive or Dropbox. ReelFyre's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can remove ReelFyre's Google access at any time at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.

When you connect a YouTube channel

Connecting a channel is optional and is only needed if you want ReelFyre to publish for you. When you connect, ReelFyre accesses and stores:

We request only the permissions we need: permission to upload videos to your channel, and read-only access to your channel's basic details. We do not read your analytics, your comments, or videos we did not upload for you.

We use this data solely to create your clips, upload them to your channel on your instructions, and show you your publishing history. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. We share it only with the service providers that run ReelFyre's own infrastructure, and only so they can operate the service for us.

YouTube video metadata

YouTube link imports and new channel follows are paused in this release. ReelFyre can still use the official YouTube Data API for existing video records and channel metadata. It stores what YouTube returns about the video: its ID, title, description, channel ID and name, length, publication date, thumbnail address and view count. The same details may be stored for videos on channels you previously followed inside ReelFyre. This is metadata, not permission to download video, audio or captions.

This is YouTube's data, not ours, so we keep it on YouTube's terms: every stored record is refreshed from the API or deleted at least every 30 days, and a record nothing of yours points at is deleted rather than refreshed. If a video is removed from YouTube, what we stored about it is erased.

When you connect an Instagram account

Connecting Instagram is optional and is only needed if you want ReelFyre to post clips for you. It works with Instagram Business and Creator accounts. When you connect, ReelFyre accesses and stores:

For Instagram posting alone, we ask for permission to read your account's basic details and publish posts. That connection does not enable analytics or access to message or comment text or follower identities. Optional analytics needs the separate agreement and permission described below. We do not download anyone's content from Instagram. Every post needs your confirmation before we send it.

We use this data solely to publish the clips you approve and show you your posting history. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models, and we share it only with the service providers that run ReelFyre's own infrastructure.

Optional Instagram analytics

Analytics is optional and works with your own connected Instagram Business or Creator account. Before you connect for analytics or turn collection on, ReelFyre explains the access separately. Instagram also asks you to grant insights access. Granting that permission alone does not turn collection on in ReelFyre.

When you turn analytics on, we access and store, where Instagram makes them available:

We refresh about twice a day, or when you request an update. Some numbers are unavailable for particular accounts, posts or periods; we show that rather than invent a value. We calculate comparisons and engagement rates from these readings to help you understand performance. Analytics does not read message or comment text, follower identities, Stories or audience demographics.

Turn analytics off inside Analytics to stop further collection. Stored analytics is removed within 30 days after it is turned off, or from active storage when you disconnect Instagram. Turning analytics off does not disconnect your posting access. We do not sell insights, use them for advertising, or train AI models on them.

When you connect a Facebook Page

Facebook Page posting is optional. Before Facebook sign-in, ReelFyre shows a separate notice. Facebook asks which Pages and permissions you allow; you then choose the Page to connect inside ReelFyre. This feature posts to Pages you manage, not personal Facebook profiles.

ReelFyre does not use this feature to read Page messages, comment text, follower identities or Page analytics. You confirm the Page and caption before publishing now or booking a Reel for later. You can cancel a booked post before it is sent. Disconnecting the Page removes our access and its data from active storage and cancels waiting posts. Published Reels stay on Facebook until you delete them there. We do not sell this Page data, use it for advertising or train AI models on it.

Your optional-feature agreements

We record which optional feature you agreed to use, the connected account or Page it applies to, the notice text and version, and the time you agreed. These records are separate from your existing Instagram posting confirmations. We remove the optional-feature agreement records when that connected account or Page is deleted from ReelFyre. We do not treat an old connection as agreement to a new feature.

Payments

ReelFyre takes no payments during the private test. When it does, a payment provider will handle them, and we will never see or store your card details.

Cookies

ReelFyre stores cookies and similar technologies on your device to keep you signed in and to operate the service. We do not use advertising cookies.

How long we keep it

Your control over YouTube access

You can revoke ReelFyre's access to your YouTube data at any time from the Settings page inside ReelFyre, or via the Google security settings page at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.

Disconnecting inside ReelFyre revokes our access with Google immediately and deletes your stored YouTube data within 7 days. If you revoke access from your Google account instead, we detect it and delete the associated data within the timelines required by YouTube's policies.

Videos already published to your channel belong to you and stay on your channel — disconnecting does not remove them.

Your control over Instagram access

You can disconnect Instagram at any time from Settings inside ReelFyre, or from the Instagram app under Settings → Apps and websites. Disconnecting inside ReelFyre deletes your access token and the Instagram data we stored straight away. If you remove ReelFyre from Instagram, or ask Meta to delete your data, Meta tells us and we delete it; Meta shows you a confirmation code, and https://www.reelfyre.com/meta/data-deletion/status/<code> shows the status of that request.

Posts already published to your Instagram account belong to you and stay there — disconnecting does not remove them.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. To request deletion of your stored data, or for questions or complaints about ReelFyre's privacy practices, contact hello@sandmatter.com. Deletion requests are honored within 7 calendar days.

Security

Authorization tokens are encrypted at rest. Access to production systems is limited to the people who operate ReelFyre. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat the keys to your channel as the most sensitive data we hold.

Children

ReelFyre is not intended for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and where the change is significant we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
